Hanno vinto i Mastini

E lo hanno fatto in scioltezza, aggiudicandosi senza soffrire troppo tutte le partite del torneo di Prato, primo appuntamento della lega italo-spagnola. Al secondo posto i Piranas e al terzo la FiRS. Barcellona, Milano ed i padroni di casa di Prato completano la classifica.

Il torneo si svolgerà sabato prossimo alla Piscina di Via Roma, dalle 10.00 alle 18.00 con ingresso libero e possibilità di ingresso in acqua per veder le partite (che comunque saranno anche proiettate su un maxischermo a bordo vasca).

EUDI SHOW 2012

L'EUDI SHOW 2012 Si terrà alla Fiera di Milano dal 16 al 19 febbraio.
Il Rugby Subacqueo sarà presente allo stand della FIPSAS (stand G29 – F30, padiglione n. 6).Un allenamento dimostrativo, aperto a tutti i visitatori dell' Eudishow, avrà luogo alla piscina Azzura di Noverasco (in via Marx 17, a 100 metri dall'uscita 8 della tangenziale ovest) sabato 18 febbraio alle 18:00.
L'organizzazione dell'allenamento è della ASD Rugby Sub Milano.
Portate costume, pinne, maschera e boccaglio, e venite a provare ! Vi aspettiamo!

La FIRENZE CUP 2012...

...sarà il 19 e 20 maggio, e come sempre sarà ospitata dalla Piscina Costoli.

I nuovi tecnici della FIPSAS

Con l'arrivo del nuovo anno cambiano gli organi tecnici del rugby subacqueo italiano. Dopo 7 anni Andrea Meneghin lascia l'incarico di Direttore Sportivo e contestualmente anche quello di allenatore della nazionale femminile. Antonio Lo Baido abbandona la guida della nazionale maschile.

Lettera della Commissione CMAS

Dear UWR Player,                

at its last annual meeting, held November 2011 in Berlin, the CMAS Underwater Rugby Commission decided to write an open letter explaining to you what we do.

Historically, the Commission has foremost been a technical body that – whether you call it rugby subacuático, unterwasserrugby or Sualtı ragbisi – has provided a unified set of rules for all countries. Without agreement over these, major championships would be impossible.

However, we now want to go beyond that scope of duty. Our ambition is help lead the community forward so that more people can discover and enjoy the world’s only 3D team ball sport. We will not be able to do it alone.

The current organization and its finances                       

The Commission is currently composed of 5 Members, 4 full and one associate. Elections to the Commission take place once every 4 years; the next scheduled for 2013. In the interim associate members may be invited to join the Commission.

No one on the Commission receives any financial compensation. We have no physical office, no support staff and no budget. The members’ travelling expenses are sometimes covered by their respective sport diving federation.

Pragmatism and principle

The rules and guidelines for our sport are changing. We must plan for growth, for example. As the number of participants in major competitions increases we must ready to absorb them. Countries that travel from far away for international competition do not want to play three matches and if eliminated from the draw, have nothing to do for the rest of the week. What are the alternative solutions? An extended championship format will allow for additional matches.

More matches also increases costs. How many referees will be needed? How many matches can a referee handle in a single day and maintain mental sharpness? We have to create a structure that can maintain quality while meeting new challenges.

Norms and fair play

Underwater rugby is most beautiful when the flow of play is fast. With each new generation of players there is a need to establish understanding of the game. What constitutes possession of the ball? Can two players jointly posses the ball? Can a player take a grip on a jersey or is that an attack on equipment? We need to provide a forum so that players, coaches and referees can discuss and understand the rules, rather than finding out in match play.

Our sport must also be clean. After the World Championships in Helsinki we realized that we did not have a clear routine for disciplining a player penalized for gross unsportsmanlike conduct. If a player is expelled from a tournament, who should follow up and how? At the last meeting we established a procedure for notifying the national federation of the player’s home country.

Promotion and the future

By now you should be wondering how our sport can grow and prosper if the Commission, lacking employees and financial resources, tries to do more than it already does. CMAS, which began as an umbrella organization for diving federations, does not have any permanent staff or board member with a background in underwater rugby. In practice, this means that technical issues (rule changes and procedural matters) are resolved by the Commission. We draft and propose rules, which then are approved by CMAS as the official ones.

However, this freedom also means that there is no planning for the development of underwater rugby from CMAS’s side. This is not a desirable situation. In response we are building a network to promote underwater rugby around the world. Davrell Tien has accepted the post of PR Manager. He is responsible for putting together a plan based on recommendations from all relevant parties. If you have ideas and energy, contact him.

By the next meeting of the Commission in a year’s time we should have a much clearer vision of how are going to become a true world sport.

La Circolare Normativa del rugby sub...

E si possono trovare tutte le informazioni sulla prossima stagione. Le novità più importanti:
- la possibilità di schierare giocatori comunitari, illimitatamente
- la possibilità anche di ricorrere a giocatori extracomunitari (al massimo 2 per società)
- la nuova formula del campionato italiano, che sarà in data unica e non più a Subacquatica

La Circolare Normativa è ancora in forma provvisoria, ma indiscrezioni ci assicurano che la versione finale non si discosterà molto da quella presentata!

IL PRIMO TORNEO INTERNAZIONALE DI PRATO!!!

Dopo la Firenze Cup (che quest'anno ha festeggiato la decima edizione), la Coppa Meneghina (disputata un solo anno a Milano) e due edizioni della Coppa Italia a Napoli (per squadre nazionali), finalmente anche Prato ha il suo torneo internazionale!

Si svolgerà sabato 3 marzo 2012 dalle 9.00 alle 18.00 e, stando alle prime indicazioni, vedrà schierate tutte le squadre italiane e due spagnole.

Il Torneo di Natale 2011

Ed anche quest’anno il Torneo di Natale è andato.

Buona affluenza e partecipazione di giocatori (tanto del pubblico non ce ne facciamo niente…) a parte alcune assenze annunciate. Come sempre siamo andati lunghi sui tempi previsti facendo un po’ arrabbiare i padroni di casa. E come sempre promettiamo che non succederà più.

Sarebbe stato un torneo equilibrato se chi ha fatto le squadre non avesse creato una squadra “killer”, che ha lasciato solo le briciole (del panettone s’intende) alle altre. E dato che a pensar male si fa peccato ecc…sarebbe ragionevole andare a cercare l’autore delle squadre fra i componenti dei “killer del panettone”. Per sviare ogni sospetto invece il colpevole ha fatto in modo di nascondersi nella squadra più insospettabile.

Infine Tanti Auguri al Bana ed a Fofò per il loro Compleanno!!!

Formula del Torneo

Girone all’italiana tra tutte le squadre partecipanti. Tempi continuati da 12′. In caso di parità si stabilisce il vincitore attraverso rigori ad oltranza. I punti alla fine delle partite vengono assegnati secondo questi criteri: vittoria in partita 3pt, vittoria ai rigori 2pt, sconfitta ai rigori 1pt, sconfitta in partita 0pt.

Gli arbitraggi sono affidati a 3 giocatori delle squadre non giocanti [sic!].
